Welcome to my literary world
I’m Sara.
I’m a writer and English professor who has been teaching incarcerated students in California’s prison system since 2019. I write across genres—novels, short stories, children’s books, academic essays, and personal narratives about prison education reform. I believe in the power of education and storytelling to transform lives. Here you’ll find my published work, current projects, and reflections on teaching and writing.
